1955 - 2005

TRADE CONSULTANT TO THE TTMA

The Board of Directors, Management, and Staff of the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers' Association (TTMA) wish to express their sorrow at the passing of Mr. Anthony Guiseppi, on Tuesday September 20, 2005.

Mr. Guiseppi served as General Manager of the TTMA for seven years, between 1995 - 2002. His sterling guidance during that time helped the TTMA become what it is today. He will be especially remembered for his willingness to assist staff in their personal and professional development.

Mr. Guiseppi was admired for his comprehensive knowledge of trade and economic matters, and his willingness to use that knowledge for the benefit of manufacturers in Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean. As Trade Consultant for the TTMA, from 2002-2005, he focused exclusively on Free Trade Negotiations and trade matters affecting manufacturing. His invaluable contribution in this area will help the manufacturing sector survive the challenges of trade liberalisation and globalisation.

Mr. Guiseppi born on 10 July 1955 attended St. Mary's College, Port of Spain, and held a B.Sc. Economics from the University of the West Indies. During his distinguished career he served as Senior Policy Analyst for the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and as Economist at the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC).

The TTMA offers its deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Mr. Anthony Guiseppi.
May he rest in peace.
