Joint Response by the TTMA & TTCIC re Implementation of T&TEC Rate Increases
The implementation of the T&TEC Rate Increase has come as no surprise to the Trinidad & Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association, since several regional public consultations and opportunities for submission of comments were previously held in addition to a draft determination being published at the time it was submitted to Government.

TTMA meets with Local Government and members of the URP Management
The Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association (TTMA) met on Wednesday, September 14th 2005 with the Minister of Local Government and members of the Management of the Unemployment Relief Programme (URP) at Kent House, Maraval. The meeting agreed to further consultations and collaboration between the two parties. Minister Dumas outlined the several supervisory methods currently in operation, which have made the Unemployment Relief Programme (URP) achieve its objective in delivering assistance to those in need to an extent never before achieved. |
