The plant has annual production capacity of 120,000m.t producing wide range of products such as Rounds, Rebars, Flats, Angles, Squares in various grades including “Mild”, “High Tensile”, Stainless Steel and SAE 1020, 1045. The plant is also capable of producing Special Quality Bars to meet customers’ specific needs.
The facilities represent modern state of the art of continuous rolling technology whereby it offers improved dimensional accuracy and metallurgical properties compared to conventional technology. Furthermore, over the period, Centrin’s management has prudently invested into upgrading the Mill which includes complete refurbishing of Re-heating furnace and installation of slitting line for 12mm and ½” High Tensile Rebars. As a result not only condition of the mill has remained in excellent condition but also productivity has improved.
Combination of high quality DR iron based billets, state of the art of rolling mill, highly skilled and experienced rolling mill personnel and stringent quality check at key stages of the process ensures superior quality and full material traceability of final laboratory staffed with qualified technicians for mechanical testing and provides Mill Test certification for all products rolled.
The more common standards which Centrin’s products are rolled to comply with are ASTM, BS, ASST, CSA and SAE, NE. However it has the flexibility to consider other grades.
Over the period, Centrin has expanded its operation into manufacturing other building products such as roofing sheets, both in aluzinc and pre-painted in assorted profiles, purlins (Z and C), decking, reinforcement fabric (BRC) in rolls and sheets, flushing and ridge caps. Centrin’s BRc and roofing products are competitively priced without compromising quality in terms of thickness, length or width unlike its many other competitors. As a result Centrin’s BRC and roofing products are fast capturing both local and regional market.
