The Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association has received financing from the Multilateral Investment Fund of the Inter-American Development Bank toward the cost of a project aimed at improving labour productivity through internal Corporate Social Responsibility Interventions in the Manufacturing Sector, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services.

Will a recession in the United States negatively affect T&T’s economy?
The Honourable Karen Nunez Tesheira, Minister of Finance, has said that a prolonged economic slowdown coupled with a weak US dollar could negatively affect Trinidad and Tobago’s imports, in particular food, construction and manufacturing materials imported from regions outside the United States.
