1.  Working to ensure that the manufacturing sector remains viable, progressive, competitive and sustainable.
2.  Promoting "buy T&T" because when we buy ourselves, we buy our future, and provide a stable market that allows manufacturers to look outside.
3.  Protecting consumers from inferior goods through appropriate legislation - competition policy and anti-dumping laws, and the effective safeguards of regulatory bodies.
4.  Promoting the work of the manufacturing sector as a necessary element in a nation that is healthy, educated, employed and enterprising, and as the basis for competitiveness in a globalised trade environment.

Aboud said, “Manufacturers are first and foremost citizens of Trinidad & Tobago with the same aspirations, expectations, hopes and dreams of all citizens. We understand the yearning of all citizens to create the society in which our children are well educated, our families well nourished and healthy, and our businesses thriving. This is what we will work for, on behalf of all citizens.”
