The Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association extends congratulations to the People’s Partnership on its victory at the July 26th poll, and welcomes the 134 newly elected councillors from the 14 regional municipalities.
The TTMA looks forward to the timely, efficient and reliable delivery of services throughout Trinidad and affirms its full support of councillors as they fulfil their duties in a socially responsible and environmentally conscious manner.
With societal and economic issues such as escalating crime levels, water shortages and poor road conditions still a major factor in the communities in which many of our members in the manufacturing sector conduct their businesses, the TTMA commits itself to working with all the incumbents towards the timely turnaround of a number of these lingering inadequacies and shortcomings.
The TTMA upholds the call for good governance to reign throughout the regional municipalities and sees a key relation between the sustainable upkeep of our communities and the continued profitability of our industries in which they operate.
The TTMA also has noted the competency and diligence of the electoral body and the police services during the lead up to and day of local elections and commends them for their services.
