Services


TTMA Trade Development Unit Services

  1. To provide members with information on all local, regional and international trade related matters of relevance;
  2. To demystify the language of Trade Agreements and Legislation on trade and related matters;
  3. To negotiate for and on behalf of TTMA members with government, CARICOM and other states;
  4. To facilitate intra and inter-sectoral membership communication by facilitating and coordinating sector committee meetings of the TTMA;
  5. To equip and update the TTMA library with research material on trade and trade related agreements, policies and legislation;
  6. To construct and maintain an electronic database of TTMA members, with a view towards member involvement thus implementing a 2-way communication channel for feedback via the internet;
  7. To construct and maintain a database of Trade Agreements;
  8. To conduct seminars and workshops on trade related matters.

DTI - Direct (online) Trader Input
The Trinidad & Tobago Manufacturers' Association in conjunction with the Customs & Excise Department is proud to introduce their DTI Service for export documentation.
Exporters can now have their export documents completed and approved by Customs and released to ship within two hours.

When completed, exporters will have the option of collecting the delivery approvals at the port of loading.

DTI is now available to ALL TTMA Members, Exporters and Customs Brokers. With this service, you will be able to:

1. Eliminate Overtime
2. Eliminate wasted time in Long Room
3. Grab those "Rush Orders" that were missed in the past due to documentation delays.

DOCUMENT PROCESSING IS USUALLY COMPLETED WITHIN TWO (2) HOURS

Provides Duty Free Customs Letters
These are official letters provided to the maufacturer to produce to customs that state, that the product being imported into T&T is entitled to Duty Free since the said product is not manufacturered in T&T by any other manufacturer.
