Karen de Montbrun to serve as TTMA President for a second term

 

The Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association is pleased to announce that Karen de Montbrun has been elected to serve as President for a second term - 2008-2009.

Mrs. de Montbrun was re-elected at the Association’s 52nd Annual General Meeting, which took place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Wrightson Road, Port of Spain on Wednesday 16th April, 2008.

In accepting the call to serve for a second time, Mrs. de Montbrun thanked members for their confidence in her ability to lead the Association, and said she looked forward to continuing the work started in 2006-2007.

 “The TTMA has always held the position that diversification of the economy is necessary for the sustainable growth and development of Trinidad and Tobago.” Mrs. de Montbrun said. 

“To achieve this we must pursue macro-economic policies that afford economic growth and sustainable development to enable competitiveness and a business friendly climate that fosters investment, innovation, and entrepreneurship,” she added.

The TTMA also elected a new Board of Directors at the 52nd AGM:
